Nicki Minaj has been a quite the Twitter tear since dropping her fourth studio album, Queen. Her latest Twitter diatribe arose after Queen debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 behind Travis Scott's Astroworld. She went in about why she wasn't given the top position and threw Spotify in the mix. She slammed the streaming platform for discrimination and said they were trying to teach her a lesson by withholding the promotional efforts they promised her.
Spotify has since issued a response to Nicki's claim. A Spotify rep explained:
“Spotify supported Nicki Minaj with a Times Square billboard, a host of the largest playlists, New Music Friday and the new music release shelf. Her song ‘Bed’ actually saw an increase based on the promotions put behind the campaign. The company continues to be big fans of Nicki."
