Nas dropped his latest album, the Kanye-produced Nasir, on June 15, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at number 5, making it his 12th top 10 album. According to Nielsen Music, Nasir sold the equivalent of 77,000 units, with 49,000 physical copies sold.
Nas' last album, 2012' Life is Good, debuted at the number one spot, following five previous albums: It Was Written, The Firm- The Album, I Am..., Hip Hop Is Dead, and Untitled.
